We invite you on a trip from Zakopane to the southern, sunny side of the Tatras, to the Slovak region of Spiš. This part of Slovakia is a land of picturesque medieval towns and castles.
First, we’ll visit a small historic town – Kezmarok. We will visit the library of the Evangelic Lyceum (highly recommended great tour with the possibility to see books from the Gutenberg era with a knowledgeable andpassionate English speaking exhibit guide) and an articular Protestant church from the UNESCO list.
Next, we will drive to the ruins of Spissky Hrad – the biggest medieval ruins in central Europe. Spis Castle is located on a hilltop and gives you the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking views of the area. On the way we’ll have a stop in Spisska Kapitula (called the Slovak Vatican) with one of the most beautiful Romanesque churches in Slovakia.
Last stop on our tour from Zakopane to Slovakia is at the medieval town Levoca, home to one of the finest Old Towns in all the country. This beautiful town is on the UNESCO list, and it’s walls and scenic narrow streets bear many legends and mysterious stories.
